Wade, right off the bat, you’re my hero. i know i’m not the mid-teen girl demographic you seem to draw haha but i carry your exact same ambition. i’m a guy who wants to get his face out there and i love the ukulele. i picked my first ukulele october of 08 after a bad break up, but those mellow and easy to play chords made me smile for the first time in a long time. i’m a 19 year old community college student from Philly who would love nothing more than to actually do what you do. you’re livin the dream man and i couldnt be happier for you. i really want to get better at the uke but i just seem to hit a barrier whenever i’m learning. could be because no matter how long i tune the thing it doesnt sound right, buuuuut that’s what i get for $37. if you can help me out in any way, i would love to get any kind of pointers from my ukulele idol. if you could even leave me a response saying “screw off” that’d be awesome too haha just so i know you read this. im just in a rut and need a good pick-me-up, which by the way im ordering ur cd and shirt as soon as i can so that should help. if you could do me a huge favor, i would be glad to make a good donation, if you might be able to compile a quick tutorial on how you play i’m yours, or even better, barrel of a gun because you’ve made me a fan of guster now too.
if at any point in my fan-worship and other assorted inane babble i had reached you i’ll be eternally greatfull, because i know ur gonna hit it big and i couldnt be happier for you, and i would be happy to see if i could get advice from one of the greats, thank you so much.
and dude the added bonus in learning to play this amazing instrument well, is the chicks, which god knows after a year of being single, i could use.
